Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These Terms are the agreement between you and Blocks. They cover the Blocks website (getblocks.io), the Blocks app (app.getblocks.io) and any service we provide with them. Please read them carefully.

The short version

  • Blocks is a planning tool for businesses. You need to be 18 or over to use it.
  • Your content is yours. We only use it to run Blocks for you.
  • Paid plans are sold by Paddle, our reseller, who handles payments, tax, invoices and refunds.
  • You can cancel at any time. Nothing is deleted because you change plan.
  • Use Blocks fairly and legally. We can suspend accounts that don't.
  • Blocks is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be perfect.

This summary isn't a substitute for the full Terms below.

1. Who we are

Blocks is operated by Sidharth Dilip, an individual based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In these Terms, "Blocks", "we", "us" and "our" mean Sidharth Dilip, trading as Blocks.

You can contact us at support@getblocks.io.

2. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you create a Blocks account, or when you use the website or a share link.

If you use Blocks for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these Terms for it. In that case, "you" also means that organisation.

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

3. Words we use

  • Organisation: the account your team shares in Blocks. It's what a paid plan is bought for.
  • Owner: the member who controls an organisation, including its billing. Each organisation has one owner.
  • Admin: a member the owner has given extra permissions, such as inviting people.
  • Member: anyone who belongs to an organisation, including the owner and admins.
  • Workspace: a space inside an organisation, for example one per client.
  • Content: everything you and your team add to Blocks, such as Blocks (campaigns), Items, briefs, comments, workspace names and departments.
  • Share link: a view-only link to a workspace that anyone can open without an account.

4. Who can use Blocks

  • You must be at least 18.
  • Blocks is designed for business and professional use.
  • You must give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
  • Each account is for one person. Don't share your sign-in details.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password safe, and for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

5. Organisations, owners and members

  • The owner is responsible for the organisation, including who's invited, what's shared, and paying for any paid plan.
  • The owner can hand ownership to another member. An owner can't leave or delete their account while the organisation has other members, until they've handed ownership to someone else.
  • When you join an organisation, the content you add there belongs to that organisation and stays with it if you leave or delete your account.
  • Members of an organisation can see each other's names and email addresses.

6. Plans and prices

Free and paid plans

Blocks has a Free plan and a paid Team plan. What each includes, and the current prices, are shown on our pricing page.

  • Limits. Plans have limits, for example on the number of members, active workspaces and AI assistant use. Limits are shown on the pricing page or in the app, and may change (see section 9).
  • The Free plan costs nothing. We may change what it includes, or its limits, in line with section 9.
  • Future features. The Team plan includes the features described when you buy it. We may offer new features or plans in future that aren't included in it.

How the Team plan is billed

  • The Team plan is billed per member. When an organisation is on the Team plan, every member counts, including the owner and admins.
  • People who only view a share link aren't members and aren't billed. Pending invitations aren't billed until they're accepted.
  • You can pay monthly or annually.
  • Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax. Paddle adds sales tax or VAT at checkout where it applies.
  • Adding members: the owner and admins can add members, including by invitation. Each new member, from the moment they join, is billed for the rest of your current billing period. On monthly billing this is added to your next bill. On annual billing it's charged straight away.
  • Removing members: you get a credit for the unused part of the period, taken off your future bills. Credits aren't paid back to your card.
  • Before you upgrade, the app shows you the exact amount you'll pay. When adding members, it shows the price per member.

7. Payments through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

For help using Blocks itself, contact us at support@getblocks.io.

When you buy a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle takes payment, sends invoices, and handles tax and refunds. We never see your card details.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, until cancelled.
  • Only the owner can buy, change or cancel a paid plan, and manage payment details. The owner and admins can add members, which adds to the bill.

8. Cancelling, downgrading and failed payments

Nothing is ever deleted because your organisation changes plan, cancels or misses a payment.

Cancelling

The owner can cancel at any time, from the billing page in Blocks or through Paddle. The Team plan continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. Then the organisation moves to the Free plan and you won't be charged again.

Moving to the Free plan

An organisation can move to the Free plan when it's within the Free plan's limits. If it has more members or active workspaces than the Free plan allows, the owner needs to remove members or archive workspaces first.

If a payment fails

Paddle will try the payment again. If it still fails, the Team plan ends. If the organisation is within the Free plan's limits, it moves to the Free plan. If it's over them, it becomes view-only:

  • Members can still see everything.
  • The owner and admins can still remove members and archive workspaces. Anyone can leave the organisation.
  • The owner can still upgrade or update the payment details.
  • Nothing else can be created, changed or deleted, and the AI assistant is unavailable.

The organisation unlocks automatically once it's within the Free plan's limits, or a payment goes through.

The same applies if a payment is refunded or reversed, for example after a dispute with your bank.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

9. Changes to prices, plans and limits

We may change our prices, what's included in each plan, and plan limits.

  • For paid plans, we'll tell the owner by email at least 30 days before a price increase. It applies from your next billing period after that. If you don't want to continue, you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • For limits and the Free plan, we'll give reasonable notice in the app or by email before a change that reduces what you can do.

We won't delete anything because of these changes.

10. Your content

You own it

You and your organisation keep all rights to your content. We don't claim ownership of it.

What you allow us to do with it

You give us permission to store, copy, display and process your content, only as needed to provide Blocks to you and your organisation. That includes showing it to your members, to anyone with a share link you create, and sending parts of it to our service providers, such as the AI assistant's provider, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies kept for a short time in backups.

Your responsibilities

  • You're responsible for your content, and for having the right to add it to Blocks.
  • If your content includes information about other people, such as clients or colleagues, you're responsible for having a lawful basis to share it with us.
  • Don't put sensitive information into your content that Blocks isn't designed to protect, such as payment card numbers, passwords or logins for other services (including clients' accounts), health records or government ID numbers. Anyone in the workspace, or with a share link to it, could see them. This doesn't apply to your own Blocks password or paying through Paddle, which are handled securely outside your content.
  • Keep your own copies of anything important.

Share links

Anyone who has a share link can see everything in that workspace, including comments and the names of people tagged, without signing in. You decide who to send a link to. You can switch a link off at any time. We aren't responsible for what happens to content you share through a link.

11. Personal data we process for your organisation

When your organisation adds content to Blocks that includes personal information, your organisation decides what's added and why, and we process it on its behalf. This section sets out our commitments when we do. For anything not covered here, our Privacy Policy applies.

We will:

  • only process it to provide Blocks, following your organisation's use of the app and these Terms, unless the law requires otherwise. If it does, we'll tell you first where we're allowed to.
  • keep it confidential. Only Sidharth Dilip has access to it, and only when needed to run, support or fix Blocks.
  • protect it with appropriate security, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • use service providers to help run Blocks. They're listed in our Privacy Policy. Each is bound by a contract that protects personal information at least as well as these Terms. You agree that we can use them. We'll update the Privacy Policy before adding a new one that would handle your content, and if you object, you can stop using Blocks and we'll delete your organisation's content. We remain responsible for our providers.
  • protect international transfers, using the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • help you respond to people who use their data protection rights, and with your own data protection obligations, as far as we reasonably can.
  • tell the owner without undue delay if we become aware of a security breach affecting your organisation's personal information, with the information we have.
  • delete it when your organisation is deleted, apart from copies kept in backups for up to 7 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can ask for an export of your organisation's data first.
  • provide information reasonably needed to show that we keep these commitments.

If your organisation needs a separate data processing agreement, email us.

12. The AI assistant

  • The AI assistant can make mistakes. Check anything important before relying on it.
  • Its answers aren't professional, legal, financial or other advice.
  • You're responsible for how you use what it produces. Anything it creates in your workspace is part of your content.
  • Use of the assistant may be limited by your plan, and we may change those limits.
  • Don't use it to produce anything unlawful or harmful, or anything that breaks section 13.

13. Acceptable use

When using Blocks, you agree not to:

  • break any law, or help anyone else to
  • upload or share content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory or sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone else's rights
  • use Blocks to send spam or unwanted messages, including through invitations or share links
  • add personal information about people without a lawful reason to do so
  • try to access accounts, organisations or data you're not allowed to
  • try to break, overload or get around the security, limits or protections of Blocks
  • copy, change, reverse engineer or try to extract the source code of Blocks, except where the law allows it
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access Blocks, except through features we provide
  • resell Blocks, or use it to build a competing product
  • share your account or create accounts to get around plan limits

14. Our rights in Blocks

Blocks, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use Blocks under these Terms. Nothing in these Terms gives you any other rights in Blocks.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them freely, without paying you or giving you credit.

15. Changes to Blocks and availability

  • We're always improving Blocks, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove a significant feature of a paid plan, we'll tell owners in advance.
  • We aim to keep Blocks available at all times, but we don't guarantee it. It may be unavailable at times, for example for maintenance, or because of problems with our providers or the internet.
  • Some features may be labelled as early or test versions. These may change or be removed at any time.
  • Before Blocks launches, details on our website, including features and prices, may change.

16. Suspending or closing accounts

By you

You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. An owner can delete their organisation. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

By us

We may suspend or close an account or organisation, or switch off a share link, if:

  • you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms
  • we need to, to protect Blocks, its users or other people from harm, fraud or a security risk
  • the law requires it

Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid organisation for reasons that aren't its fault, we'll refund any unused part of its current billing period.

If Blocks closes

If we ever stop offering Blocks, we'll give owners at least 30 days' notice, so you can export your data. We'll refund any unused part of a paid billing period.

17. Disclaimers

Blocks is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't give any promises or guarantees about Blocks beyond those in these Terms, including that it will meet your needs, be error-free or always be available.

18. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

As far as the law allows:

  • we aren't responsible for any indirect losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however caused
  • our total liability to you for anything relating to Blocks in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount your organisation paid for Blocks in that period, or 100 US dollars

19. Your responsibility to us

If you use Blocks for a business, you'll cover any reasonable costs and losses we face because of a claim by someone else that arises from your content, or from you breaking these Terms or the law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when Blocks changes or the law requires it. We'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with it, you can stop using Blocks and delete your account before then. If you keep using Blocks after it takes effect, you accept the new Terms.

21. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the problem informally.

If you're a consumer, nothing in this section takes away protections you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live, including your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

22. General

  • Whole agreement. These Terms, with our Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Blocks.
  • If part is invalid. If a court decides any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, for example if Blocks is sold. We'll tell you if we do. You can't transfer yours without our agreement.
  • Events outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Notices. We'll contact you by email, or in the app. You can contact us at support@getblocks.io.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English. If they're translated, the English version applies.
  • After these Terms end. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on your content, our rights in Blocks, liability, and law and disputes, still apply after your use of Blocks ends.
  • Other websites. Blocks and our website may link to other websites and services, such as Paddle. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we aren't responsible for them.
